Storyline: Robin attempted to contact his friends, but was called into action by Batman before anyone (Kid Flash) could respond. After school the next day, Robin thought Batman was a little too rough on the suspect of a jewelry store robbery. Batman kept the evidence (a pearl necklace). When he brought it to his partner's attention, Batman told the Boy Wonder he didn't need him and backhanded him across the face.

Storyline: Aqualad found Aquaman attacking a submarine. Aquaman caused sea life to disarm the vessel before letting it go. He caused Aqualad to doubt himself.
Flash ended his partnership with Kid Flash.
The three disenchanted sidekicks met in a cave and discussed the changes in their partners.
Elsewhere, Kid Flash saved Speedy after he watched Green Arrow rob an armored truck. The group encountered Wonder Girl for the first time.


Issue #3

Storyline: Wonder Girl told the others about Wonder Woman - she'd attacked some men for no reason. Robin decided they should work together to take down the JLA, but none should go against their own mentor. He, Kid Flash, and Aqualad took down Wonder Woman; Speedy and Wonder Girl captured Flash; Robin, Speedy, and Kid Flash got Aquaman; Wonder Girl and Aqualad stopped Green Arrow.
Back at the JLA headquarters, Batman attacked them. A creature calling itseld the Antithesis made its presence known - it was controlling the JLA. Robin helped Batman regain himself and the others followed suit.
After dubbing themselves the "Teen Titans," Batman and Robin left for Gotham City.


Issue #4

Subtitle: Flash in the Pan

Storyline: The Teen Titans prepared to do a TV interview without their leader, Robin, who was out with Batman. Robin arrived when he saw the broadcast - the Ant was attacking the tv studio and his team. With his help, the Ant was captured and turned over to the police.

Storyline: Kid Flash and Aqualad had a water balloon fight while Wonder Girl prepared for her date with Speedy. While on their date, Green Arrow's car was stolen. Speedy and WG went after Ding Dong Daddy, who he suspected was the thief. The two had a falling out after Wonder Girl smashed up the car to stop the crook.
Batman visited the Titans' hideout.


Issue #6

Subtitle: Awakening

Storyline: Robin had a dream that the Titans were all dead. He helped them out of their graves and they went after the Antithesis again.

  • It appears this takes place before the first ('60s) Teen Titans series began.
  • Issue 2 references The Brave and the Bold #54 (their battle against Mr. Twister).
  • Wonder Girl made her first appearance in issue 2, so it takes place before the Brave and the Bold #60.
  • The group named themselves the Teen Titans in issue 3.
  • The music band "The Flips" appear in issue 4. They were also seen in Showcase #59.
