Storyline: Nite-Wing continued his escapades and Dick returned to the police academy. Ricky Noone reported to Blockbuster that Nightwing killed two of his men. Desmond knew about the imposter NW. Dick graduated from the academy.

Storyline: Hogan threw a party for Dick; Clancy and the recent graduate began getting closer. Nite-Wing attacked Ricky Noone, killing him and some of his men in a "car accident." Dick was turned down for a job with Bludhaven PD, though one of his classmates, Mac Arnot, got in as inspector. Nightwing met Nite-Wing again - they were cornered by Soames/Torque.

Storyline: The two NWs escaped Torque's explosion. Desmond prepared to travel to Africa to find an ape to donate him a heart. Arnot became Chief Redhorn's right-hand man. Dick decided to train Nite-Wing since he appeared serious about the hero gig.

Storyline: Tad (Nite-Wing) shook down Redhorn and demanded files on Roland Desmond. Blockbuster began searching for "Oracle," a hacker who'd been siphoning moneys from him for years. Redhorn left town after giving the files to Tad, who gave the files to Nightwing. They broke in on Blockbuster and were captured.

Storyline: Blockbuster's people began torturing Dick and Tad, trying to get Oracle's identity. Lady Vic and Brutale trailed and attacked the Black Canary. Desmond also hired the team of Mouse and Giz to track Oracle. Nightwing's car was destroyed and the computer taken to Blockbuster's hackers. Cicso Blane turned out to be FBI and freed Nightwing.
