Adam felt hurt that he'd been replaced without being involved in the decision.
Koriand'r finally woke up in Buddy's home. He and his children were grateful she wanted to stay and be their babysitter, while Ellen was less than thrilled. She wanted to try out a normal / non-superhero life.
[2] Forerunner (which is the name of her race - her actual name is Viza Aziv) told Monarch the story of her people. She grew up on what had been Earth-48, but it was destroyed by the humans that originally inhabited it. Delegates from the other planets in the system, plus their Monitor, convened to discuss plans for the world. A great war erupted and several millions of years, the Forerunner race sprang up from elite warriors of each race.
Her Monitor approached her - she was the prophesied chosen one that would kill for them righteously.
Monarch showed her that since she'd left her world, her people had been eradicated by the Monitors.
