Storyline: Ray Palmer and the searchers arrived on Apokolips. Jimmy Olsen saw a message in his bathroom mirror: "To Apokolips."
The Amazons outed Granny Goodness, who vanished through a boom tube. Holly, Harley, and Mary followed her.
Piper saw a huge flash of light, which was duplicated in Bludhaven.

Countdown #11

Storyline: Brother Eye sent most everyone involved to Apokolips via boom tube: Karate Kid (recovering) and Una searched for a way out. Red Robin looked for a way to Brother Eye so he could get back to his Earth. Kyle, Donna, and Ray went to find Darkseid. OMACs began invading.
Piper waited to die, but was captured.
Granny's Female Furies duked it out with Holly, Harley, and Mary. Mad Harriet was killed by friendly fire. Mary began hearing the voices of the Gods.
Una became an OMAC.

Countdown #10

Subtitle: The Gods Must be Crazy

Storyline: Mary followed the voices of the Gods and found them. They were released when she called on the lightning. She was rewarded with the return of her powers. Harley and Holly were also given powers. The searchers saw the lightning and headed to investigate.
Red Robin attempted to save Karate Kid from an OMAC, but he refused help and continued to try to save Una. The OMAC could not assimilate him, so it took him back to Brother Eye.
Holly, Harley, and Mary watched as Granny Goodness was killed. They then ran into the searchers.
Desaad tried to get Piper to play his flute, telling him he could become a god. Brother Eye completely took over Apokolips.

Storyline: Desaad told Piper he'd engineered his entire ordeal - Piper held part of the anti-life equation and it was time he assumed godhood. Una the OMAC captured Piper. Red Robin followed. He broke Firestorm free as Ray and the searchers arrived. Atom tried to free Karate Kid, then realized he was the carrier for the virus. Brother Eye, having taken the virus, sent them away via boom tube.
Piper finally played and Apokolips exploded. Una's OMAC released her.

Storyline: The Atom moved himself through Apokolips and onto the chessboard being played by Darkseid and a Monitor. He was pulled back by Firestorm. He suggested they kill Karate Kid; Jimmy Olsen wanted to confront Darkseid. He was discouraged by the Monitor who told him Darkseid was storing energy within him to reclaim later. The Monitor transported them all back to their Earth.

Storyline: Cadmus began working on the virus. Their plan was to isolate it from Karate Kid's body. It began spreading outside their facility. Once outside the body, the virus attacked the "anomalies." Kyle was able to get it contained quickly. They learned it was airborne and worldwide. Cadmus employees began leaving their posts. The virus mutated so quickly because it was a thousand years ahead of any technology and medicine. Una went with Buddy Blanks when he left to find his family. This Earth's Green Lantern went into space to look for a cure.

Countdown to Final Crisis #05

Storyline: Una and Buddy got to his daughter's apartment. En route, they fought through animalistic humans and humanistic animals. His grandson was safe, but his daughter had contracted the virus. Una was overcome by rats while fighting off Buddy's daughter, but before she died, she gave him her flight ring. Buddy and his grandson made it to Command D and locked themselves in. He was able to get connected to Brother Eye long enough to see the "anomaly" heroes escape via boom tube.

Countdown to Final Crisis #04

Storyline: The anomalies arrived on their own Earth finally. Firestorm, Mary, Holly, Harley, and Jason went their own ways. Kyle, Donna, Ray and the rest took Jimmy to the JLA headquarters.
Darkseid was waiting for Mary when she got home. He gave her the power she'd left on Apokolips (Black Adam's) in return for Olsen. She attacked the group at the JLA headquarters and made off with Jimmy.
The Earth that had been destroyed by the virus was 51, which had been reconstituted after it was destroyed by the Monarch / Monitor war.

Countdown to Final Crisis #03

Storyline: Jimmy was taken to Darkseid; Superman attacked. As they fought, the rest of the Justice League arrived. Jimmy was blasted by Darkseid, rendering him incapable fo moving. He also turned into Kryptonite. Ray Palmer was inside Jimmy and began working to turn off what ever was going on with him. He was successful and Olsen grew exponentially.

Mary Marvel met with Black Adam, but he dismissed her.
Brother Eye turned Blanks into a new OMAC - one with free will. He broke through the bunker with his grandson.
